Work with campaigns and groups

Work with campaigns and groups

Use the list to find campaigns, open tests and adjust advertising settings.

How to use it

  1. Choose a game and find a campaign using search or the status filter. Hidden is in the same status list; resetting restores the main list.
  2. Select + Single campaign to create one campaign without a group: choose one creative, an ad key with campaign creation permission, budget and date; confirm the creative and creation. Group test remains a separate button.
  3. Open a campaign or group to inspect settings and creatives.
  4. Before saving, check the budget, audience and dates. Confirm the action in the form.

Advice and practical context

A field changes a live campaign

Budget, audience, dates, and status affect Roblox delivery and spend. Search and filters change only the visible list. Verify campaign ID and group before editing because similar names do not identify the same object.

Change one hypothesis

Changing budget, audience, and creative together makes later attribution ambiguous. Record starting values and the expected metric. Do not assume closing the form reverses a change already confirmed and sent.

Start date is a plan, while updatedAt can reflect any provider edit. Use observed statuses and delivery data for actual serving history. After a partial failure, verify state and avoid resending successful changes with unresolved ones.

Budget

Per-campaign and set-wide limits are different amounts. With multiple creatives, check how many campaigns will be created.

Duration

A new group test defaults to no end date. You can select a limited duration manually before launch.

Creatives & moderation

A group test can contain 2 to 30 creatives. MARPLA stores each new creative's original image in protected storage and serves it through a stable internal preview. For existing creatives, the service restores the image from Roblox Asset Delivery and caches the result, so a temporary or stale Roblox thumbnail URL no longer becomes a white tile.

If neither the original nor a ready thumbnail is available yet, MARPLA shows a neutral fallback instead of a broken image. Saved creatives can be manually removed from the library with confirmation without deleting the Roblox asset or campaign history. Roblox handles moderation during the advertising process; MARPLA cannot promise approval or review timing.

Impressions / plays / spending

Compare results for the same period. Ad reporting may lag; missing data does not mean no spending.

Payment

The payment account and charges are handled by Roblox. MARPLA does not show bank-card numbers. Creating a campaign may begin spending its budget.

Columns, states and group total

Inside a MARPLA campaign group there are no separate Goal / audience or Status columns: delivery state is carried by the Off/On switch. Gray means the campaign is off, green means it is on, and orange means it is on while Roblox moderation is in progress. The advertising overview also omits a separate status column; Goal / audience is the final draggable column.

Signal cells show only a number: green is the full playtime-aware signal, yellow is the preliminary conversion-only signal, red is a small sample, and a gray dash means the campaign is stopped, serving is unconfirmed, or exact source data is unavailable. Within a group, Hours / $1 and ROI split the campaigns into a green upper tier, yellow middle tier, and red lower tier; both the number and proportional bar use that color. Group totals are ordered as spend, impressions, clicks, plays, CTR, CTP, PTR, hours / $1, and signal.

The total signal is the impressions-weighted mean of available campaign signals and keeps the least reliable confidence level represented in the group.

Filters and actions inside a group

Below group totals are search by creative or campaign name and IDs, status, objective and audience filters, and Reset filters. Filters apply only to the open group and do not change the overall advertising list. Matching rows preserve the selected sort; when nothing matches, resetting restores the whole group.

Spend and count totals always use the whole group regardless of filtering. Live signals and performance tiers use enabled campaigns with confirmed delivery only. A group-wide pause saves the finalists, selected-period metrics, colors, signals and capture time.

The stopped group also shows its saved finalist signal in the advertising list, with the capture time in the tooltip. Resuming switches the list back to the live signal. The saved group-stop result opens by default; previously individually excluded campaigns remain gray.

Synchronization and retries after partial failures do not overwrite this result. Switches always show actual status: saved colors do not imply that ads are running. Current data returns to live metrics and the chart.

Resuming returns to live data while the previous result remains accessible. The next group pause captures a new result; previous records remain in the activity history. Pause all and Start all are on the same toolbar and apply to every campaign in the group, including filtered-out rows.

These controls require advertising-management permission. The following settings gear reveals Delete group: the existing warning and confirmation for irreversible campaign closure remain in place. Escape closes settings first, then the group dialog; clicking outside also closes the menu.

Signal cells show only the number without a repeated caption. The group total uses a number directly in the standard card, without an inner frame. The metric name remains in the header; within a group, green, yellow and red digits show relative performance among enabled campaigns.

Accuracy remains in the tooltip; insufficient samples and paused campaigns are gray. Tooltips and screen-reader labels remain available.

Advertising toolbar, previews and sync

Click an image in a table or inside a campaign to open the same image beside its thumbnail, at five times the thumbnail width and constrained to the screen. The image has a thin border with no header or close button. One click on another thumbnail immediately replaces it.

An outside click closes the preview and performs the page's normal action; Escape closes only the image, leaving the campaign open. Scrolling or resizing also closes the preview. Reset filters turns yellow when search or any filter is active, both in the main table and inside a group.

Actions are separated from filters and aligned right; export reads ↓ CSV and the main table has no Found counter. In a group, Found moves to the right of the Shared start row. Start all is green only when the whole group contains a disabled campaign, including filtered-out rows.

The game selector now contains Showing — enabled campaigns with SERVING delivery — and Budget — the sum of daily budgets for non-cancelled campaigns. The duplicate statistics strip and refresh timestamp are removed. An unavailable optional Ads Manager report does not prove an invalid Open Cloud key: reporting warnings are retained separately instead of being stored as a whole-sync error.

A loading, connection or confirmed-permission failure turns the sync arrows red next to game selection. Click to retry; connection settings remain in the gear. The large warning panel and repeated heading inside the Sponsored Ads chart are hidden.

Saved reports are preserved and missing values are not replaced by zero. Report chart buttons follow table order: Spend, Impressions, Clicks, Plays, CTR, CTP, PTR, Signal, CPP, Playtime, Time per play, Time per impression, Time per click, Hours / $1, Robux, Return. Ratios use summed inputs from campaigns with both metrics on the same day.

Signal is only available within a comparison group, so its overview button is disabled.

Single campaign and hidden campaigns

Choose Hidden in the status filter to view hidden campaigns and restore them to the main list. All statuses and Reset filters return to the ordinary list. Next to Group test, + Single campaign opens creation of one campaign without a group.

Choose a connected ad account, one creative, name, budget, audience and start time. Confirm the creative and click Create one campaign: this is a paid Roblox operation; opening the form starts nothing. This mode uses a Roblox Ads key with campaign creation permission; the browser helper remains in group tests.

The campaign appears as a standalone row. Repeating submission of the same form reuses its saved identity without creating a second campaign. Settings are fixed after submission; open a new form for another campaign.

Users without ad management permission do not see creation buttons.
