Compare multiple metrics

Compare multiple metrics

Select up to six lines: identical metrics share a scale, while different metrics use separate scales.

How to use it

  1. Open Multi chart inside a game. Choose a metric and saved segment for each line.
  2. Choose a shared range, interval and Total / Per player. Per player normalizes totals using whole-game DAU; rates and averages are not divided again. Missing DAU leaves gaps.
  3. In the country list, enter part of a name or a code in the search field at the top. Countries are alphabetical in the interface language.
  4. Enable the milestone types you need. Download CSV to check the values. Similar lines do not establish causation.

Advice and practical context

Compare movement while preserving units

Add active players, D1 retention, and revenue. Each line has a separate colored scale: 20% retention remains a percentage, while 10000 Robux remains revenue. Equal line heights do not mean equal values. Use the tooltip to compare exact observations on the same date.

Start with two or three lines. Six simultaneous metrics make overlaps harder to read. Hide secondary lines in the legend, then select a common saved interval. Daily unique players cannot be added together to obtain weekly unique players.

Test a hypothesis within one segment

For example, compare mobile D1 retention, mobile playtime, and the date of a game update. A decline near that update is a reason to inspect performance and gameplay. Matching movements alone do not establish causation: advertising, countries, or the audience mix may have changed at the same time.

Comparing mobile players in the United States requires a saved joint breakdown. Separate country and device reports cannot reveal that intersection. Choose observed options from the selectors and check gaps carefully: a missing observation is not a zero result.

Multi chart: multiple metrics

Open Multi chart inside the selected game. Add up to six lines and choose each metric, breakdown and segment. For example: DAU, D1 retention, revenue and Home impressions.

Only saved options allowed by your permissions are listed. Two dimensions appear only when an actual joint observation exists. All lines share a time axis and period.

Lines of the same metric, including different countries or genders, share one scale so their heights are directly comparable. Each other metric has a separate scale shared by its own segments. Equal height across different metrics does not imply equal values, and similar movement does not establish causation.

The default period is 30 days; shorter histories begin at their first available observation. Intervals require corresponding Roblox series for every selected line. Daily DAU and conversion rates are never summed into weekly values.

Milestones lets you select event types. Total / Per player applies to every line. Per player divides absolute metrics by the same day’s official whole-game DAU in UTC; segments show contribution per active player of the whole game.

Rates, retention, averages and audience counts are not divided again and retain their units. Weekly and monthly totals use daily observations: sum(metric) ÷ sum(DAU). Missing or zero DAU leaves the value unknown.

Country selection has a search field at the top matching part of the name or country code; countries are alphabetical in the interface language. Lines, calculation mode, period, interval and milestones are saved per game. CSV contains displayed values and units, including / player for normalized lines, without scale transformations.

Refresh rereads saved history; missing breakdowns are not replaced with estimates. Gender line colors are fixed: men are blue, women pink, unknown green, and All yellow. Colors stay the same when changing the period, ordering or visibility, including combined breakdowns.
