Roblox ad creatives: one test cycle

A creative test answers a question about the image message only when objective, audience, targeting, destination, and period are comparable. CTR measures attention; plays, cost, and post-join behavior show whether the promise brought a suitable player. Preserve every change and interruption in the test log.

Six actions in priority order

Choose the strongest conclusion the evidence may support before launch. If player behavior cannot be attributed to an individual image, do not assign the game's blended D1 to one variant.

Comparability requires more than equal budgets: check actual impressions, serving hours, moderation, game version, and campaign edits. Split intervals after a late start or pause. Preserve both the numbers and the evidence boundary in the decision card: “more confirmed plays in this window” is more accurate than “better players.”

An inconclusive result is not a process failure. Record what was missing: delivery, attribution, maturity, or sufficiently distinct ideas. Design the next test to remove one of those limitations.

  1. Separate Sponsored Ads from organic Home.
  2. Complete the hypothesis and decision card.
  3. Hold audience, objective, bidding, and destination constant.
  4. Read the full funnel and source-level economics.
  5. Split the interval after an outage, release, or pause.
  6. Choose one evidence-based action: rerun, clarify the promise, repair entry, or stop spend.
