Roblox first session: diagnosis plan
The first session should bring a player to a meaningful action and show a reason to continue; it does not need to explain every system. Observe an unguided join on a target device, measure confirmed steps, and repair one demonstrated exit mechanism. Separate comprehension, technical access, and promise fit.
Action essentials
Six actions in priority order
A funnel locates loss, first-session retention shows the pace of exit, and D1 measures return. These metrics answer different questions and mature on different schedules.
Events should confirm completion on the server: a click, purchase attempt, or task start is not success. Before release, exercise the normal path, retry, reconnect, and failure in View Events. If the step schema changes, mark its version boundary; otherwise a chart movement may reflect measurement rather than player behavior.
After the repair, verify the target step and absence of new errors before waiting for D1 or D7. If acquisition source changed with the build, preserve both factors as alternative explanations.

Put this into practice in MARPLA
Locate early drop-off using retention and connected events. After changing onboarding, compare new cohorts to check whether more players reach their first meaningful action and return.
