Roblox advertising: a controlled launch plan

Advertising buys access to an audience and an answer to a question written in advance. Before publishing, define the decision, spend ceiling, and review date. After launch, read delivery, entry into the game, and cohort quality separately. Attributed revenue is not automatically incremental profit without a comparison.

Seven actions in priority order

A research budget may buy a useful negative answer. A scaling budget needs a repeatable combination, while seasonality, attribution, and reporting delay remain material limits.

Before reading the result, verify actual spend, delivery, Learning status, and report coverage. Do not substitute planned budget for spend or compare immature plays or earnings with final data from another campaign. If post-join behavior cannot be linked to an individual creative, keep the conclusion at campaign or Sponsored-cohort level.

After the decision, retain exports, settings, period, time zone, and limitations. The next cycle can then distinguish a repeated result from coincidence instead of spending again to reconstruct lost context.

  1. State the decision the spend should support.
  2. Verify the game and first loop before paid testing.
  3. Choose the objective and audience from the actual job, rather than the cheapest visible metric.
  4. Freeze targeting and one factor to change.
  5. Treat budget as the price of an answer and cap the loss.
  6. Read impressions → clicks → plays → mature quality, allowing for reporting delay.
  7. Apply the recorded pause or scale rule and retain the final snapshot.
