Invite a game owner to chat
You can send an owner a link to a conversation about a specific game.
How to use it
- Select Message through MARPLA on the game card and check the project name.
- If an invitation link is offered, copy it and send it to the owner through your usual contact channel.
- After signing in through the link, the recipient joins the chat. Continue your conversation in MARPLA.
Advice and practical context
The link joins one specific conversation
An invitation connects its recipient to the conversation about the named game, so checking the recipient and context matters most before sending.
Example of a safe invitation
Example: the owner receives a short explanation, the game name and the link in one message; the sender states who is in the chat and why.
Before sending, tell the owner that the link opens MARPLA and concerns a specific game. Do not post it in a public channel: it is meant for one person, lasts seven days and closes after the first join. If an unexpected account enters the chat, stop discussing private terms. Establish a safe new contact and verify the owner through an independent familiar channel.
Do not forward the link through a chain
Expiry and first-use closure reduce exposure but do not verify identity. If the intended recipient changes, use the correct contact path.
Technical detailsCalculations, permissions and behavior
Inviting the owner of an unconnected game
Message via MARPLA passes the Universe ID, public game name and icon into Messages so you can verify the correct project before starting. If a published owner is already connected to MARPLA, a regular game chat is created. Otherwise MARPLA creates a game-linked chat and a one-use link valid for seven days.
Send it to the owner yourself. A signed-out owner first registers or signs in and returns to the same link; the first eligible account joins the chat, the link closes and the conversation continues in MARPLA.
Links and external notifications
Every conversation has a stable private link that only signed-in participants can open. Copy it from the chat or listing card and paste it into Discord or Telegram. HTTP(S) addresses in message text become clickable; MARPLA displays only the domain, hiding long paths, parameters and tokens, while the full original destination opens in a new tab.
Other URL schemes are not activated. Automatically delivering that link to a specific recipient requires a connected bot or integration; MARPLA does not claim external delivery until it is configured. AI replies, automatic summaries and donation verification are not active yet either.
