Connect game advertising
Open Advertising in a game’s menu to retain its heading and tabs with the game pinned. Advertising in the sidebar opens a separate workspace with a game picker. Then select the advertising account.
How to use it
- Open Advertising from a game’s menu or the sidebar. In the separate workspace, select a game in the heading.
- Save account keys in connection settings or Game access. In a new test, select the launch account; its name and avatar appear in the group.
- Open Ads Manager with a billing account accessible to the chosen key. The helper finds the matching tab and reports which account is open if they differ.
- Select Refresh to load campaigns for that account.
Advice and practical context
Account and game are separate axes
The advertising account determines available campaigns and spend, while the selected game sets analysis context. A group game depends on the key owner's group rights. Successful campaign reads do not imply write permission.
Diagnose without broad access
For an empty list, verify account, game, scope, and refresh status. Add only the required permission. Do not create a new key before reading the exact message or treat missing campaigns as proof of zero spend.
When one account advertises several games, a wrong game selection can produce a plausible but incorrect report. Verify campaign ID and target Universe. For group workflows, prefer a dedicated automation key with minimal permissions.
Technical detailsCalculations, permissions and behavior
Multiple advertising accounts
In the top row of a new test, choose the account with its avatar from saved advertising keys and keys in Game access. Ads Manager is on the right. Available settings load automatically when opening the form or changing the account, and are checked again after returning from Ads Manager.
A failed connection shows its cause and a retry action. MARPLA verifies that key and its accessible billing accounts. The name and avatar identify the key owner; the billing account is Roblox's separate payment account.
The selected key is saved with the group: resuming creation and managing its campaigns use that connection even after the current key changes. Legacy campaigns without a saved binding are not assigned an arbitrary owner. The helper finds an open Ads Manager tab with a matching billing account.
If accounts differ, switch in Roblox and refresh verification; use Connect when permissions are missing. Changing the account in a new form resets audience settings and selection confirmation. Key secrets are never returned to the browser.
Helper 1.4.2 reconnects to Ads Manager automatically: if an existing tab does not respond, checking settings opens a new background tab. An existing Roblox draft is not reloaded. Goals and targeting options are loaded for the selected advertising account; a different account is never used for launch.
Permission checks without false warnings
MARPLA first reads the grants declared by the key itself. If the required advertising grant is present but a specific report returns 403, the UI does not claim the permission is missing: check the key owner, ad-account access, Universe access and Roblox report availability. The gear menu closes when you click outside it; switching connections happens in a dedicated dialog without exposing stored secrets.
Game, sync and connection controls
Choose the current game from the disclosure card with a prominent chevron. The sync button before the gear requests fresh data for the selected range and spins while the request is running. Its tooltip contains the last sync time instead of using a separate badge.
Reconnect and Disconnect are inside the gear menu. Disconnect requires confirmation and stops new ad data without deleting saved reports. Advertising opened from a selected game stays below its heading and tabs with the game pinned.
Advertising in the sidebar retains its separate page with a game picker.
Audience gender and access
Opening a new test checks the installed helper and loads Roblox audience options automatically. Installation instructions are hidden when the ads module responds. The older standalone benchmarks helper gets an update action for the unified version; a timeout alone never means the extension is missing.
Open Ads Manager in the same browser profile to obtain settings. Male and female targeting is enabled after Roblox confirms support and is passed to every campaign. If a key or required permission is missing, select Connect Roblox Ads.
Account verification requires ad.billing:read. Paid campaigns still require selection, budget and review-page confirmation.
