User guide

Add missing permissions

The message distinguishes MARPLA member rights from Roblox connection permissions.

How to use it

  1. If MARPLA permissions are listed, use Open users & access below the message. The owner adds these permissions to a custom role under Roles, then assigns it under Users.
  2. After saving, refresh and download again. Do not change your AI or Roblox API key to fix member permissions.
  3. For missing Roblox permissions, open AI connection for the read scopes and a link to the selected game's Roblox settings.

Advice and practical context

Identify the access layer first

A MARPLA member role and Roblox permissions are checked separately. The error identifies which layer lacks access.

Example of correct diagnosis

Example: if a colleague cannot download an assignment, the owner first reads the named MARPLA permission; only a distinct Roblox message leads to game settings.

A MARPLA role error concerns actions inside the workspace; a Roblox permission error concerns reading reports for the selected game. The two checks can differ for team members. After changing a role, wait for the save and retry under the colleague’s account. For Roblox access, review only the listed read scopes and do not grant write permissions when the feature does not require them.

Do not broaden access by guesswork

Replacing keys cannot fix a member role. Grant only the listed rights, refresh, and retry the original action.

Technical detailsCalculations, permissions and behavior

Missing permissions when downloading an assignment

When a MARPLA member permission is missing, the message lists its name and provides Open users & access for the selected game. The owner or administrator adds the listed permissions to a custom role under Roles, saves it, then assigns that role to the member under Users. Refresh the page and download again.

Do not change Roblox or AI API keys to fix member permissions. Roblox permissions are checked separately under AI connection, which lists required read scopes and links to this game's Roblox settings. An internal service validation error must not ask an owner to grant nonexistent permissions.
